A Letter from Pastor Je’Rico: Standing Together in Faith After the Fire

Over the past weeks, our hearts have been heavy as we’ve witnessed the loss of so much that we have built together over the last 15 years. The fire has taken from us not just a building or possessions, but the familiar comforts and memories that have shaped our journey as a church family. I know many of us are grieving, feeling uncertain, and searching for answers in the ashes of what once was.

Yet, in this season of loss, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness. Throughout scripture, we see God’s people walking through fire—sometimes literally—and coming out refined, restored, and renewed. Our faith is not built on things that can be lost, but on a God who never leaves us nor forsakes us. Even in this difficult moment, He is with us.

I encourage each of you: let’s hold tightly to our faith. Let’s trust that God is working even now, preparing a new way forward for Renewal Life Church. Our mission remains the same—to serve, to restore, and to love as Christ loves us. What we have lost does not define us; our unity, our compassion, and our trust in God do.

We will rebuild, not just with bricks and mortar, but with renewed purpose and deeper faith. Let’s continue to lift one another up, to pray for each other, and to reach out to those in need. Together, we are stronger than any trial we face.
