Renewal Life Church Launches GoFundMe Campaign to Expand Services for Chicago’s Homeless Community
Chicago, IL — December 8, 2025 — Renewal Life Church, a faith-based organization dedicated to providing housing, meals, and mental health support to Chicago’s homeless community, is calling on the public for support through a newly launched GoFundMe campaign: https://gofund.me/59c124f53.
Located at 5848 S Emerald Ave, Renewal Life Church has served the Southside and Back of the Yards neighborhoods by offering overnight shelter, hot meals twice a week, and wrap-around services including spiritual counseling and licensed mental health support. The church’s mission is clear: restore hearts, minds, and bodies through compassion, dignity, and practical assistance.
Despite limited funding, Renewal Life Church continues to provide safe shelter for up to 50 individuals each night, and serves as a lifeline for many who have nowhere else to turn. As needs in the community grow, so does the demand for resources—especially bedding, staffing, and critical building repairs.
“We are committed to continuing our work and building a brighter future for those experiencing homelessness,” said Pastor Je’Rico, founder of Renewal Life Church. “But we can’t do it alone. We’re reaching out to our neighbors, friends, and supporters to help us expand our impact and serve even more people in need.”
